- Microcontroller Power Management Optimization
Friday, April 18, 10:30 AM Jerome Gaysse, Product Marketing Engineer
- Exhibit
Atmel will be showcasing the following technologies at ESC Silicon Valley:
- AT91SAM, ARM-based Flash MCUs & Embedded MPUs
Atmel will be showcasing its recently-released AT91SAM9RL, SAM9R and SAM7L MCUs optimized for applications centered around highly interactive graphical user interfaces, and applications requiring minimal power consumption, as well as the industry-first 200+ MIPS ARM9 Flash MCU, the SAM9XE. Atmel is also launching a 400MHz ARM926-based MCU, the SAM9G20 that provides a direct migration path for the widely popular RM9200 and SAM9260 devices.
- AT91CAP Customizable Microcontrollers
Atmel's CAP™ is a microcontroller-based system-on-chip platform with fast local memory, a wide range of industry-standard peripherals and interfaces, and a Metal Programmable (MP) Block that allows the designer to add custom logic. CAP demonstrations include: The AT91CAP7 development kit, AT91CAP9 starter kit, the AT91CAP7 featuring Amulet Technologies' GUI OS and the AT91CAP9 featuring LinuxLink from TimeSys and embedded virtualization software from TRANGO.
- AVR Microcontrollers
Performance and power consumption have always been key elements of AVR's development. Atmel's picoPower™ technology enables AVR microcontrollers to achieve the industry's lowest power consumption, whereas high-quality, low-cost tools support the entire AVR family. Atmel will also demonstrate AVR-based products using capacitive touch-sensing technology from Quantum Research Group recently acquired by Atmel.
- AVR® XMEGA
With a DMA controller, an innovative Event System that avoids latency and a collection of high performance analog functions (12-bit ADC, DAC, etc.) the XMEGA becomes a new reference for 8/16-bit microcontroller system performance. XMEGA features the 2nd generation of picoPower technology and sets new records in low power consumption. With code compatibility and the same development environment, the XMEGA extends the range of AVR microcontrollers.
- AVR Wireless Solutions
AVR-based 2.4 GHz wireless solutions are using Atmel RF ISM transceivers, achieving superior performance. This is an ideal platform for applications based on IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee®, 6LoWPAN, etc. The AVR RZ Raven kit will be demonstrated, offering an easy evaluation and development platform with firmware and PC software for $99 only.
- AVR32 32-bit Flash Microcontrollers and Application Processors
Optimized to deliver both high performance and low-power to embedded systems, the UC3 & AP7 families achieve best-in-class processing effectiveness. The upgraded AVR32 development tool chain includes the new AVR ONE! high-end emulator offered at a very affordable price.
- Security Products
As a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced security products, Atmel is able to address a wide variety of security needs.
- CryptoMemory®, the world's only family of Secure Serial EEPROMs with advanced security features to create low-cost, high-security solutions for any application requiring data protection.
